Arthurian legend tells of a fertile island beyond the mist where the apple trees bear fruit all year round. The Celts called it Avalon, from “abal”, apple: the isle of fruit, a symbol of abundance and of a life that never ends. Excalibur was forged there. Nine sisters who master the art of healing live there, Morgan among them, and it is there that King Arthur, mortally wounded after his last battle, is taken to heal and await his return. A place where things grow because someone looks after them.

In 2008, when the company needed a name, we did not look for one that sounded good: we looked for one that said what we wanted to be. A haven where wealth grows, like those apple trees, and where health is cared for, as on that island. Two ideas that, over the years, would become two brands. The name came before the brands.

Look at the trunk of our logo: it is a person. The arms are raised, and from the hands grow the branches, Patrimoniae and Avalon Medic. The feet sink into the ground and turn into roots, the ones in Granollers, where we started and where we remain. It is not decoration. It is what the legend taught us: a tree does not bear fruit on its own. Behind every deal and every order there is someone holding it up.
